BBFC advice: Contains strong bloody violence and strong language

Zombies! You either love 'em or you hate 'em.
There are tens of thousands of websites associated with the genre but I'm sensing the cinema-going public have had their fill.
This was most evident by the tiny crowd who paid to see Ruairi Robinson's film in screen 9 in Nottingham Cinworld on at prime time, Saturday evening.
It's not that The Last Days On Mars is particularly bad, it's just painfully predictable.
It surrounds a team who are just about to end their six-month assignment on a Mars space station when one of them (Goran Kostic) makes an astonishing discovery.
Sadly, instead of making him world famous, it ensures his demise and subsequent transformation into the living dead.
For reasons that are never explained the zombie has murderous intent towards the remaining astronauts.
Thus, the meat of The Last Days On Mars is little more than a battle of survival in the face of a violent enemy.
The rearguard action is led by Liev Schreiber, his romantic interest (Romola Garai), alongside Olivia Williams and Johnny Harris.
The problem with The Last Days Of Mars is the same as many zombie films - we've seen it all before.
The characters are superficial and the storyline offers little meat. True, it did make me jump a couple of times but, despite those moments of excitement, I doubt I will remember it past next week.
